From August 28 to 31, the city of Khouribga hosted the second edition of the “Oussoud 2030” tournament, a football event that brought together clubs from Africa, Europe, and North America, in an initiative led by sports commentator Soufiane Rachidi in collaboration with the Al-Ayoun Al-Khadra Association, aiming to support youth categories and prepare a new generation of football talents.
The city of Khouribga, from August 28 to 31, hosted the second edition of the “Oussoud 2030” tournament, part of a national program for the development of football, in collaboration between Arriyadia channel sports commentator Soufiane Rachidi and the Al-Ayoun Al-Khadra Association. The initiative, aimed at youth under 16 years old, confirms the importance of investing in young talents as a strategic choice in line with the ambitions of Moroccan football towards 2030.
The event was extraordinary, as it brought together some of the top clubs from Africa, Europe, and North America, along with national teams, in a high-level sports event that made Khouribga an international football meeting platform. This international dimension added media and sports prestige to the tournament, offering young players new opportunities for exposure and skill development.

Beyond the sporting aspect, Soufiane Rachidi sought to make the tournament a multidimensional platform by inviting prominent cultural, artistic, and media figures to enrich discussions and add value to side activities. This initiative increased attendance at the event, linking sports with other community components, in full harmony with football’s social role.
What stood out during this edition was the lack of participation of local youth and the Khouribga audience in some phases, an absence considered not accidental by observers, but an artificial act by the “enemies of success and progress” in a vain attempt to obstruct this promising project.
Those who follow the local football scene notice that the city urgently needs such youth initiatives, but it also requires a more comprehensive vision capable of balancing external prestige and internal engagement. The success of any tournament or sports project is not measured solely by the presence of big names, but by the involvement of the base and local resources, which are the backbone of any team or city.

Therefore, today the ball is in the hands of Khouribga’s actors and institutions to ensure the success and continuity of these initiatives, so they become established traditions that restore the Olympique Khouribga to its former glory and give the local audience the role it deserves in the national sports scene.
In a personal interview with the author, Soufiane Rachidi stated: “What we are doing today is not just a football tournament, but a clear message that the future of Moroccan football starts with the youth categories. We believe that investing in young talents is the best way to create tomorrow’s champions, and despite challenges and interference attempts, we remain committed to our dream that the ‘Oussoud 2030’ tournament becomes a true lever for national football.”
Despite the challenges, many observers praise the extraordinary efforts made by Soufiane and his team, considering them an example of national pride and demonstrating that Khouribga can once again be a prestigious space for Moroccan football if it receives real support at local, regional, and national levels.
The experience of the Oussoud 2030 tournament in its second edition is not just a sports event, but a message of hope, emphasizing that the future of Moroccan football begins at the grassroots level and that investing in youth categories with openness to international experiences is the path to forming a new generation of “lions” capable of raising Morocco’s flag on international stages by 2030.

As the author of this article, I wish to express my gratitude to Soufiane Rachidi, sports commentator and passionate supporter of his city and club, for the extraordinary efforts made for the success of this major sporting event, and to all staff who worked with dedication and responsibility to make the Oussoud 2030 tournament possible. Your initiative is a source of pride and inspiration, a true message of hope for the future of national football.
