Political noise and diplomatic movement frames the Middle East. From the Jeddah regional summit, to the Tehran and Astana summits, which are unable to formulate solutions, to Sochi and the summit of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. All this has its political outcome regionally and internationally, and its repercussions on the Syrian file. There is nothing new in the international policy towards Syria, and this zero is due to the state of international intractability divided into axes beyond the control of the Syrians, and worse, the Syrian state, according to the policies of the axis, is subordinate to the Russian-Iranian axis, which complicates international trends towards Syria. On the other hand, Russia and the United States share interests and distribute them according to their alphabets, and they proceed slowly imposed by the language of regional and international interests, while the holders of projects of solutions related to Syria, whether internally or externally, are walking on the “eggs”, so that the Syrian issue and its file remain inside the refrigerator of the dead.
In fact, the file of the Syrian issue has become frozen, not only in terms of the intractability of solutions, but the approaches adopted by the influential forces in this file do not currently want to divide the «Syrian cake», and most importantly that the Syrian solution with its basic, subsidiary and secondary titles, is no longer in the Syrian kitchen, but the parts of this file have become divided and divided between Russian desires, American whims, Turkish demands and Iranian concerns, and most importantly, that the Syrians in their entirety do not have a clearly defined and frank political project. This has been exploited by the great powers to raise the ceiling of their investments in the Syrian geography.
Despite the summer heat and hot weather, but the fact that the Syrian file was lacking only in the Russian-Ukrainian war, because this file was damaged by polar breezes that put it in a state of political frost, and no one knows when to raise the temperature of the Syrian file, so that the Syrians can look for a small hole in the window of hope for a political solution, saving the Syrian people from the tragic and catastrophic situation that holds a stranglehold of a stranglehold due to the continuation of the wrong policy of centralization and the policies of regional and international powers, looking for honey jars in the Syrian geography.
We agree or disagree, but the descriptions with their titles, which include foreign occupations, or opportunistic forces looking for interests from Syria and from its surroundings, do not affect the descriptions of solutions with their broad headings, as the solution, whatever the principles, should be based on the fact of respecting the sovereignty of Syrians and their true desires, without being tied to the agenda of Damascus’ allies, or the projects of its opponents. Foreign occupations, domination and control over Syrian territory, from the American presence in the northeast, to Turkish control and domination in the north and northwest, with Turkish threats to the northeast, and the Israeli presence in the south, to the interests of Russia and Iran and their perspective on the Syrian geography, all of this, imposed a division of the Syrian geography, but without declaration, but in reality, each occupation in its sense according to the descriptions of the Syrians, wants to impose its vision of a political solution, commensurate with the essence of its strategy in Syria. This has reflected a negative reality on the reality of Syrians at all levels, especially economic ones.
In depth, it seems clear that the Syrian file has not yet risen to become part of the attention of adults seeking a political solution in Syria, as the Syrian arena is still the scene of regional and international tests, at more than one level and more than one level. Although the Riyadh summit did not offer any new method in case America wants to confront Russia and Iran, but Iran and Russia so far, consider that the key to international dealing with the Syrian file should be framed by the concepts of Astana, in the sense that the specific framework of any Syrian settlement must inevitably take into account the interests of the Astana tripartite, where the Turkish role is a gateway to the Western role. Therefore, it can be said during the past years from the beginning of the Syrian crisis, until the Russian military operation in Ukraine, that the two parties, Russian and American, have been responsible for the continuing complexities in the Syrian scene, especially since Russia as well as the United States are comfortable and looking for obligations to extend their influence and control throughout the Syrian geography, which is translated by Russian orientations in Syria, specifically those related to economic contracts, and the recruitment of Syrian youth in different arenas of confrontation, while the American side is content with its presence in northeastern Syria. On the Iraqi border at the al-Tanf base, and its proven great ability to block any solution that does not guarantee its interests.
Within this, it seems clear that the Russian and American parties are satisfied with their situation in Syria, while the Syrian citizen is drowning in crises that affect all aspects of his life and cannot secure the demands of his livelihood, due to the continuation of the policy of indifference to reach a political solution that saves what can be saved in Syria.
