Call for Submissions 2nd International Student Documentary Film Festival April 2026 Edition
Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Mohammedia
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities in Mohammedia is pleased to announce the second edition of the International Student Documentary Film Festival, to be held on April 9, 10, and 11, 2026.
We invite students from all faculties, institutes, universities, and public or private training and research centers, both in Morocco and internationally, to submit their documentary films for the opportunity to compete for the festival’s official awards.
Submission Guidelines
Each submission must include the following:
1. A documentary film produced in 2024, 2025, or 2026.
2. Films must not exceed 15 minutes in total runtime.
3. Films must meet high standards of sound and image quality, suitable for public screening.
4. A photo of the director and the film’s poster.
5. A synopsis of the film (maximum four lines), in Arabic and English.
6. A signed authorization from the director or producer allowing:
* The screening of the film during the second edition
* The use of selected footage for promotional purposes related to the festival
7. One still image from the film, selected by the director
Awards
Selected films will compete for the following awards:
1. Fatima al-Fihriya Award – First Prize
2. Fatima Mernissi Award – Second Prize
3. Faculty of Arts and Humanities Mohammedia Award – Third Prize
