“Atallah Hanna”: Today our message, beloved ones, is one like no other Stop the war. We do not want the war to continue

In light of the Israeli occupation’s attempts to undermine the resolve of the Palestinian people, Muslims and Christians, by attacking holy sites, but it did not succeed.
As His Excellency said: When he attacks Al-Aqsa, he attacks all Palestinians, and when he attacks the Resurrection and Christian endowments, he attacks all Palestinians.
◾This is the text of the message, where His. Archbishop Theodosios “Atallah Hanna” said:
Beloved, dear brothers and sisters, from the vastness of our holy city I address you, on this Friday morning, while I am in the Church of the Resurrection,
In the holiest place in Christianity, where the Holy Sepulcher is, we light candles, and raise prayers and prayers for our people, for Gaza and its people, who are being killed in cold blood, for this war to stop, and for this brutal aggression to stop.
In Al-Aqsa Jerusalem and the Resurrection, they are inseparable twins. Many times, colonialism and occupation, through their tools and mercenaries, tried to stir up strife, hatred and division among us, but they failed.
The occupation and its mercenaries did not succeed in undermining our national, Islamic-Christian unity. When they attack Al-Aqsa, they attack all Palestinians, and when they attack Resurrection and Christian endowments, they attack all Palestinians.

We are united and we are in one trench, in Jerusalem and in all of Palestine, in defense of our existence, our cause, and our humanity, and in defense of the wounded Palestine that is exposed to conspiracies, from all sides, with the aim of liquidating this just cause.
◾His Archbishop Theodosios “Atallah Hanna” explained:
We meet today, in prayer and supplication, at Al-Aqsa and on Resurrection, we raise our prayers for our people, for this aggression to stop, and for this Lord God to be a balm, comfort, and strength for all our bereaved children, in Gaza in particular, and in the West Bank, Who invades and assaults her children all the time.

As for Alquds, it is our spiritual and national capital and the incubator of our history, heritage and sanctities
It is a trust in our necks, as Christians, as Muslims, as all Palestinians, and as an Arab nation, and it is a trust in the necks of all free people who believe in the values ​​of justice, freedom, and human dignity.

Jerusalem is a city of peace, or rather it was supposed to be a city of peace, but the occupation turned it into a city of oppression, injustice, and targeting of Palestinians in their sanctities, in their neighborhoods, and in all the details of their lives.

What we fear, and what we warn against, is that the occupation authorities will take advantage of the war, its repercussions, and the current situation, in order to do something in Jerusalem.

There are occupation projects in Jerusalem, some of which were passed by the occupation authorities, and others were not possible, due to the steadfastness of the Jerusalemites, their bond and adherence to their principles, and their belonging to this holy city.
◾His Archbishop Theodosios “Atallah Hanna” warned:
We warn everyone, and we do not exclude anyone, that the occupation authorities may present, “I mean, we cannot speculate,” but it is our duty to warn.

It may undertake some action, some project, or some planning, taking advantage of the current situation, and taking advantage of the war. Therefore, we must be vigilant regarding what is happening in the city of Jerusalem, and the colonial projects and brutal occupation plans that are planned for the city of Jerusalem.

In the West Bank, there are raids on cities, raids on villages, mass arrests, and abuse of citizens, and the title of these sufferings is “Jenin Camp.”

“Jenin Camp” as well as other Palestinian camps and towns, but “Jenin Camp” is more targeted. There is bombing, there are arrests, there are assassinations. It seems that they are planning to destroy this camp.
Just as they are destroying in Gaza, they are also destroying here in the West Bank, and they are working to break the will of the Palestinian people and undermine the steadfastness of this people and their adherence to their rights and principles.

◾ His Archbishop Theodosios “Atallah Hanna” stressed:
Today, beloved ones, our message is one
There is no second to her
Today we are stressing one topic. All other topics are important, but what we are demanding today and what we are stressing today is one topic.
That the aggression against Gaza must stop,
This destruction and devastation must not continue.
Let this be our voice today, and I call on everyone, from their position in this Arab East, and in the entire world, to let our position be one and unified: stop the war, we do not want the war to continue.

This aggression must stop. This aggression must stop today, not tomorrow. We will spare blood and stop destruction.

Help Gaza, beloved ones. Our demand is for the war to stop first
Secondly, we appeal and demand the entire Arab nation and the human rights institutions in the world
Our people in Gaza need relief, hospitals, institutions that provide relief to the Palestinian people. All Palestinians in Gaza are living in a tragic situation. Those who remain alive are living in a tragic situation and are experiencing pain and grief for those loved ones they have lost.
Relief campaigns must be launched, and they have been launched. As I know, relief campaigns must be launched everywhere in order to help our people in Gaza after this war, which I hope will end quickly.

Gaza has gone through six wars, meaning that before this war, Gaza was in a tragic situation, with more than 70% unemployed, extreme poverty, massive destruction, a difficult social situation, and very painful humanitarian situations. Before the war, Gaza was experiencing suffering and tragedy because of the siege.

Do not forget that there is a siege on Gaza, it is the largest prison in this world, and before the war, we used to say:
Gaza is the largest prison, and the situation there is perhaps worse than in the third world, so what about you today with this war, this destruction, and this devastation?
◾His Archbishop Theodosios “Atallah Hanna” asked everyone:
Stop the war. Every one of us must raise our voice in his country, each in his own way, in his style, and in his language, in all parts of the world. Stop this massacre. Stop this aggression, and work to bring relief to our people, to help our people in Gaza, who do not deserve to be treated with such cruelty and with this brutality.

My beloved ones, we pray on this day and every day that the Lord God will be a comfort to all the families who have lost their loved ones, and that he will be a balm and a solace for all the afflicted, and that he will be with all the displaced, and that he will be with our people in Gaza who are living in catastrophic conditions. Gaza before the aggression was the largest prison, approximately two million and more. Two million people live under this siege, and today, in light of the war, the tragedy has worsened and the situation has worsened. So, beloved ones, be a voice for these people. Be with them and call for the injustice to be lifted from them. Thank you.
