Press Release: Film Selection for the 16th International Documentary Film Festival of Khouribga, Morocco

In preparation for its 16th edition, scheduled to take place from December 11 to 14, 2025, the organizing association of the International Documentary Film Festival of Khouribga is pleased to announce the official selection of films.

For the international official competition, the festival received sixty-nine documentary film submissions from around the world. Additionally, the Schools’ Films Competition, dedicated to Moroccan institutions, received nineteen submissions.

A selection committee, appointed by the association and composed of the following members, reviewed the submissions based on the artistic criteria outlined in the festival’s regulations:

-Hassan Mojtahid (Representative of the Organizing Committee)

-Oumaima El Guerssifi (Visual Artist and Holder of a Master’s Degree in Documentary Studies)

-Reda Oummani (Film Director)

The following films have been selected for the official competitions:

1/ Official International Competition :

These selected films will compete for a range of awards, including the Grand Prize, the Jury Prize, the Best Directing Award, the Critics’ Award, the Audience Award, and the Schools’ Films Competition Award.

Subsequent press releases will provide details regarding the members of the jury, the honorees of this edition, the participants in the festival’s main symposium, as well as book-signing events, workshops, and other parallel activities.

The 16th edition of the festival is organized with the support of the Moroccan Cinematographic Centre (CCM) and the OCP Group, in collaboration with the Province of Khouribga, the Municipality of Khouribga, the OCP Media Library of Khouribga, and the Khouribga Directorate of Culture.
